Banque of Algeria. Banknote issued from February 18, 1871 to March 20, 1873. Type "ALGER". Work of Guillaume Cabasson. Dimensions: 147 x 108 mm. Watermark "10 F". Front: Green print on white paper. Front: heads of Hercules and Mercury in medallion facing each other. Marine anchor in the center at the top of the note. Back: Multiple decorations and lion's head. Two signatures: The Controller: Sauné and The Chief Cashier: Delahaye. Numbering of the handwritten note but alphabet printed in green. Specimen of issued note but not signed and not numbered. Banknote often cancelled in red.
