Banknote identical to Pick # 139 but with the addition of a holographic stripe with a width of 13 millimeters and the security thread go on the back. Date: June 10, 1998. Dimensions: 150 x 71.7 mm. Watermark: Elephant head pattern. Material: Paper. 13-mm holographic stripe. Windowed security thread with demetalized Arabic text. Printer: Bank of Algeria. Multicolored front and back printing with predominantly purple. Description of the front: Texts in Arabic: "Bank of Algeria" and "Five hundred dinars". Prefix and numbering in black. View of the battle between Hannibal's army riding elephants against Roman soldiers. Thre combinations of signatures with the Governor and the Director General of the Public Treasury. Description of the back: Hot waterfall of Hammam Chellali. Ruins of the tomb of the Numidian king Massinissa. Texts in Arabic: "Central Bank of Algeria" and "Five hundred dinars" and "Article 197 of the Penal Code punishes counterfeiters".
