Algeria. Central Bank of Algeria. Probable issue in 1954. 5,000 francs type 1954 “Poughéon”. Date: 1954?. Dimensions: 206 x 105 mm. Work attributed to Poughéon. Watermark: Turbaned man's head from the front. Material: Paper. No security thread. Printer: Bank of France. Multicolored front and back printing, predominantly yellow and brown. Description of the front: Two Barbary sheep. Landscape of the highlands. Prefix and numbering in black. Texts in French. Only one signature combination is known with Gandy, The Secretary General, Watteau, The Governor and Civier, The Cashier General. Description of the back: No known back. Banknote known only in specimen. This note will be reused for the front of the 50 dinar type 1964 (Ref. Pick # 124).
