Printer: François-Charles Oberthur Fiduciaire (FCOF). No security thread. Multicolored front and back printing predominantly orange, brown and yellow. Texts in French. Description of the front: security background composed of geometric shapes and volutes. At the top center, the words “République du Cameroun (Republic of Cameroon)” are printed in brown. Below, the full banknote number is printed in black. The value "500" is printed in blue and brown in two opposite angles. The signatures, number and serial are printed in black. On the left, the watermark and on the right, a wooden sculpture representing an ancestral figure with an offering bowl on the head and a vase next to it. On the right, a stylized flower contains the value "500" and above, the value in letters is printed in brown. Two combination of signatures with The Governor and Un Censor. Description of the back: security background made up of geometric shapes, volutes and a rose window in the center. In the foreground, a young man seated carves a mask.
