Dimensions: 180 x 90 mm. Watermark: Native's head in profile. Material: Paper. Printer: Bank of France. Polychrome front and back printing predominantly brown and light green. Description of the front: Texts in French. Background and frame composed of vegetation and stylized plants. At the center of the upper edge, the wording "BANQUE DE L'INDOCHINE" is printed in a light green cartouche. On the right, an allegory of France represented by a woman wearing a crown of oak leaves and wheat and with ribbons in her hair. On the left, an oval medallion contains the watermark. In the center, the value in letters and the words "PAYABLE IN CASH TO THE PORTER" are printed in dark blue. Below, the "DJIBOUTI" overprint is printed in black. The numbering and alphabet are printed in black in small cartridges and repeated at the top and bottom of the composition. Two combinations of signatures: a) Le Président and Le Directeur Général : René Thion de la Chaume / Paul Baudouin et b) Le Président and Le Directeur Général : Marcel Borduge / Paul Baudouin. Description of the back: Background made up of floral motifs and graphic shapes. In the center, the value in figures is printed in black in a vertical frame. On the left, a green and yellow peacock sits on a flowering shrub and four butterflies fly around it. Article 139 of the penal code is printed in brown on five lines in a scrolling banner at the bottom right. On the left, in a yellow vertical cartridge, the overprint “DJIBOUTI” is tilted vertically and printed in dark blue.
