No security thread. Watermark: Woman's head in profile wearing a Phrygian cap. Printer: Banque de France. Multicolored front and back printing, predominantly gray, blue and brown. Description of the front: Backdrop made up of an arcade giving on a view of the harbor of Djibouti with several ships including a traditional dhow in the foreground. Texts in French and Arabic. The issuing institute "TRÉSOR PUBLIC - CÔTE FRANCAISE DES SOMALIS" is printed in black at the top and bottom center. The numbering and the series are printed in black on a pale yellow background. The watermark is represented in an octagon decorated with patterns on the right. Below, three doves take flight. The numerical value is printed in western characters in the upper corners and in Arabic characters in the lower corners. The note is not signed. Description of the back: Background made up of geometric motifs and repeated arabesques. Texts in French and Arabic. In the center, an antelope stands on its hind legs in an octagon. The value "CINQ CENTS FRANCS" is printed in dark blue at the bottom left. The wording of the issuing institute "TRÉSOR PUBLIC - CÔTE FRANCAISE DES SOMALIS" is again indicated in the center of the box at the top and bottom. On the right, the value "500" and the article of the penal code are printed in blue in a medallion. The specimen is known overprinted in black "SPECIMEN N °" diagonally on the left, perforated "SPECIMEN" vertically on the right and numbered "O.00 - 000".
