New Caledonia. Cash vouchers from the Nouméa Treasury. 1919 Second Issues. Issue date: Nouméa, January 13, 1919. Decree of November 14, 1918. Dimensions: 110 x 80 mm. Watermark: No. Material: Paper. Printer: Unknown. Monochrome front and back printing in green. Description of the front: Simple frame made up of small repeating patterns with the value "1" in the corners. 4 or 5-digit numbering in black at the bottom left. In the center in black, the wording of the issuing institute “NOUVELLE-CALÉDONIE ET DÉPENDANCES”, “TRÉSORERIE de NOUMÉA”, the decree and the value in letters. On the left a Melanesian on his boat. Two palm trees and a hut in the background. Combination of two handwritten signatures printed in blue with The Governor, Repiquet and The Paymaster, Trouillot. Below is the date of issue in black. Description of the back: Monochrome printing in blue. Frame made up of two totems supporting a pediment containing the words “FRENCH REPUBLIC”. Below, "BON DE CAISSE (CASH VOUCHER)" and article 139 of the penal code on four lines. In the center, the words, "The vouchers will be withdrawn from circulation within one year of the end of hostilities". At the bottom, a bundle of weapons and palm branches with the value "2 Fr" and the word "TREASURE". Rare note.
