Printer: Thomas De La Rue (TDLR), London. Multicolored front and back printing with predominantly purple. Description of the front: texts in English. Prefix (V/1) and numbering in black. Three sailboats at anchor in Jamestown Harbor with the island's mountains in the background. On the right, a composition of rosettes with the portrait of HRH Queen Elizabeth II. Combination of signatures with the Currency Commissioners: Philip Edward Aldous, Simon Gillett and George Carter Lawrence. "50p" value in the corners. Description of the back: texts in English. Coat of arms of the East India Company represented by two lions, two English flags and a shield. Below, the motto in Latin: “Auspicio regis et senatus angliae (The senate and control of the King of England). On the right, the escutcheon of Saint Helena containing a three mast sailboat near the cliffs of the island.
