Vanuatu. Reserve Bank of Vanuatu. 1995 15 Years of Independance Commemorative Issues. Overprinted on Pick # 8. Date: No. Dimensions: 135 x 68 mm. Watermark: melanesian male head. Material: Paper. Solid security thread. Printer: Thomas De La Rue (TDLR), London, England. Multicolored front and back printing with predominantly purple. Description of the front: Background made up of guilloche patterns and geometric patterns. Texts in English and French. Prefix and ascending numbering in black. On the right, the emblem of Vanuatu with a Melanesian warrior holding a spear in front of a mountain, two branches of intertwined cycads or "namele" (Cycas seemannii) and a spiral-shaped pig tooth. At the bottom, the national motto: Long God Yumi Stanap (in english: “God is our Guide”). Combination of signatures in black with President Sampson Ngwele and Minister of Finance Willie Jimmy Tapagararua. Description of the back: Background made up of geometric patterns. Texts in Bislama. Traditional Parliament. Statue "United In Peace We Progress" in Port Vila. Value "200" in the corners. 2000 issued notes.
