Printer: Waterlow & Sons, Limited Wall, London, England. Front: Polychrome printing predominantly green, lilac and orange. Description of the front: Border frame with guilloche patterns. Arab dhow boat on see at left. Nine workers harvesting clove tree with rudimentary ladder at right. Texts in Arabic, English and Gujarati. Numbering in red. English texts: The Zanzibar Government / Promises to pay the bearer / on Demand the Sum of / Twenty rupees. Three combination of signatures with the Financial Member of Council or Chief Secretary and Treasurer. No back: Uniface note. The color trial specimen in photo note was sold $108,000,00 by Heritage Auctions in August 2017, Philadelphia Auction # 4005 (lot # 28221). Graded PMG 65 EPQ. Demonetized in 1936.
