André Krajewski Bank (1919-1920)  (1919-1920)

Apart from the Caisse Agricole de Papeete and the Bank of Indo-China, two other private banks set up in Tahiti at the beginning of the 20th century. The Chin-Foo bank first, but it will disappear fairly quickly following a major bankruptcy ... The André Krajewski Bank (and Allgoever) then, founded shortly before the start of the first world conflict. She had a first series of four 25 cent, 50 cent, 1 franc and 2 franc bills printed. These cardboard vouchers are very rudimentary and quite surprising, like this 2 francs Type 1919 which is designed ... on a business card of the banker Krajewski! This first series is logically replaced by an equivalent and much more sophisticated issue, but the sudden closure of the bank causes the printing to stop suddenly. The rare banknotes that have escaped destruction are almost always found without numbering, date and signatures.
