American impressions (1942)

On November 8, 1942, Allied troops landed in northern French Africa with banknotes called "Silver Certificates". These are three denominations of $ 1, $ 5 and $ 10 dated 1934 or 1935. These notes are identical to the dollars in circulation in the United States, but are overprinted with a yellow stamp specially created for military use.
