In the next Stack's Bowers sale in August (August 2021 ANA Auction - Session A - World Paper Money), a very rare 10 Lempiras type 1941 (1) banknote from the Bank of Honduras (Banco de Honduras) will be offered to auction (Lot #30214). Only 32,250 copies issued, this denomination includes a group of three signatures (Midence / Medina / Lozano) and is dated March 5, 1941 (5 de Marzo of 1941). Estimated between $ 1,250 and $ 2,250, the note is graded PCGS 64. This is the very first time that the American auction house Stack's Bowers has offered this type at auction. Other information, one finds only one copy graded VF30 in the PMG Population Report. This 10 Lempiras 1941 note is therefore the most beautiful note known and the 4th in the Numizon inventory (2). Its final price may also be at the height of its rarity!

Stack's Bowers comment: "A really rare Series B ABNC 10 Lempiras from the Banco de Honduras. This is the first issued example of this rare type that we recall offering in one of our auctions. According to their population report, PMG has only certified 1 example, a VF30. This uncirculated example courtesy of PCGS Banknote contains only a comment of "Ink Stamp." We are excited to see what heights this note can achieve given its unfathomable preservation".
