A proof of a 100 francs "Ruins of Angkor" Type 1931 (Ref. Pick: # 10bp) was sold for $ 1100 at Stack's Bowers & Ponterio, during the January 2020 NYINC Auction on January 17-18, 2020 (lot: # 30344). Without date, without numbering and without signatures, this proof note is completely new and unknown to the reference books.


Graduated PMG 66 Gem Uncirculated EPQ, this note has the particularity to include the Type I overprint in red on a “New Hebrides” line. The dimensions of this overprint are: 68L x 3H mm. It is therefore a proof note issued for Noumea Type 1931 from the Bank of Indochina (BIC), indicated in the work of MM. Muszynski and Kolsky under Ref. # K719 and with the signatures of Émile Minost and François de la Motte Ango de Flers.
