A small country in the Numizon catalog ...

The Principality of Andorra is a tiny territory wedged between France and Spain. This small European country located on the southern slope of the Pyrenees only became a sovereign nation in 1993 with a parliamentary co-principality regime. In 1936, when the Spanish Civil War broke out, the General Council of the Valleys of Andorra (Consell General de les Valls d'Andorra) decided on a first urgent issue (1936 Blue Issues) of 1, 2, 5 and 10 pessetes vouchers for one value of 50,000 pessetes. A second issue (1936 Brown Issues) of 50 centimes, 1, 2, 5 and 10 pessetes vouchers is then undertaken for a value of 75,000 pessetes. All banknotes are denominated in Catalan and include on the back a decree N ° 112 dated December 19, 1936 certifying that all these vouchers are guaranteed in Spanish banknotes ... Quickly discover or rediscover these 9 banknotes which have mostly become quite rare!
