Here is the "Numizon Sale # 6"! This was developed in partnership with the “Maison des Collections”, the first private museum dedicated to banknotes from the Bank of France and the colonies. Located in Saint-Suliac, one of the most beautiful villages in France, this large stone building with red windows has three exhibition levels over an area of nearly 500 m2 divided into 12 rooms to visit, including 5 rooms exclusively dedicated to Bank notes. This last theme is the main backbone of the museum and revolves around part of the collection of Mr. Janick Potier. A great collector of banknotes for more than 38 years, Janick Potier is at the origin of this museum whose work began in June 2015. But given the scale of the project, Mr. Potier was joined in 2017 by Michel Brut, whom many collectors know from its professional activity of expertise and ticket sales: "10.collections". Together, the two men, helped by volunteers from Saint-Suliac, finalize the project which leads to the birth of the “Maison des Collections” on July 11, 2020.

From the opening, the Museum was an immediate success with more than 1,000 admissions during the summer, but the events linked to the Covid-19 crisis ended up slowing down this promising momentum ... Autumn and winter will therefore be an opportunity to refine the presentation of the rooms and the last material details. The reopening of museums has now been authorized since Wednesday, May 19, 2021 ... and to mark this event, we have offered to organize a special "Maison des Collections" sale.

The entire Numizon team would therefore particularly like to thank MM. Janick Potier and Michel Brut for their confidence and their constant availability in the development of this "Numizon Sale # 6", made up of a selection of 113 French and world banknotes. We hope that this catalog will give you the opportunity to find and enrich your binders with new unpublished posts.

Finally, if you are spending your summer vacation in Brittany, do not forget to stop at Saint-Suliac, because "La Maison des Collections", as its name suggests, does not offer only banknotes to contemplate. Other themes from local collections and many surprises are just waiting for you! Allow two hours of fascinating visit ... Kenavo!
