The specimen of 1,000 francs type 1945 (Ref. Pick: # 96s) from the Bank of Algeria has finally just been found not overprinted "SPECIMEN" in red and obliquely on an issued note (1). The new copy that we have the honor to present to you today is numbered "0.00 - 000" and dated "00-0-0000". This specimen is in exceptional and complete condition with its watermark (2) and the two signatures of De Roux and Sebald! We have therefore added a new variant on the catalog card ...

(1) Until now, the specimen was known overprinted "SPECIMEN" in red and obliquely on the issued notes: Z.1080-293, Z.1080-355 and Z.1080-367.
(2) The watermark represents the head of a European woman. To find out more, read or reread our article of September 24, 2019: 1,000 francs type 1945 “Arnaud”.
