This 100 Russian ruble banknote is one of the 20 million 100-ruble notes issued by the Bank of Russia to commemorate the Sochi Winter Olympics. These new notes are of legal tender and circulate in parallel with existing 100-ruble notes. The note is vertically oriented on both sides. The obverse side depicts a snowboarder snowboarding in front of a snowy mountain, a holographic flame, and the Olympic venues in Sochi. The reverse side features a bird in gold SPARK ink, the Fischt Stadium, and an underprint of athletes in action: skiers, ski jumpers, skaters, hockey players, curlers, and bobsled teams. The note has a Vitrail security thread and a watermark of the Olympic rings and sochi ru 2014. Its dimensions are 150 mm by 65 mm. The serial number can vary from the photo.
