Frame and background with guilloche patterns in repetition. At center left, the name of the bank. A large rosette at center with snake and club. Below in another rosette, the signatures in green. Portrait of Dutch botanist, chemist and physician Herman Boerhaave (1668-1738) at right after engraving by Jacobus Houbraken (1698-1780). Watermark at left. Value 20 in white at 2 bottom corners. Amsterdam and date in brown near the margin. Signatures: Secretaris, De Jong / President, Holtrop. Description of the back: Gray and pink. Security background with guilloche patterns. At center left, a snake bending over poison cup. Watermark at right. Series letters and banknote number are printed in black and repeated two time.
