Description of the front: Front and back printing predominantly green and yellow on multicolor underprint. At center left, the name of the bank, the value in letters, Amsterdam, date and the signatures in green. At left, the watermark. Value 5 in green at 2 corners. At right, a portrait of Joost van den Vondel. At bottom, horizontally rosettes in repetition. Signatures: Secretaris, Schreuder / President, Holtrop. Description of the back: green and yellow. Security background with patterns in repetition. Modern design of Amsterdam Play-house at center. At right, the value 5, the watermark and the text of Law. Series letters and banknote number are printed in black and repeated two time. The specimen is known overprinted "SPECIMEN" in red diagonally front and back.
